Chris Parnhams dream of winning a Group 1 became reality when he guided Truly Great to an upset win in yesterdays $1 million Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot.
Hailing from one of WA racing’s most successful family dynasties, 23-year-old Parnham broke through after eight frustrating placings at the elite level.
He also helped owners Bob and Sandra Peters and co-trainers Grant and Alana Williams land a quinella in the race, beating the raging favourite Inspirational Girl.
