Truck breakdown and crash causes delays in Brisbane

A crash on the Pacific Motorway blocked a lane for one hour, with the resultant heavy traffic causing delays in emergency services arriving at the scene.
Olympia Kwitowski, head of Nine Traffic Network Queensland, said a crash about 7am on Thursday had added to the early commute traffic towards the heart of Brisbane.

“The left lane is blocked and traffic starts from Esther Street in Greenslopes, with big delays reaching back to Eight Mile Plains,” she said.
“Hopefully that’ll be cleared soon but emergency services were stuck in traffic for about 10 minutes trying to get to the scene itself.”
