Tropical Cyclone Dianne has formed as category one off Kimberley coast

The eighth tropical cyclone to form off Western Australia this season is expected to hit the remote Kimberley this evening.

Tropical Cyclone Dianne reached category one strength shortly before 6pm on Friday and was about 280 kilometres north of Derby in Western Australia.
