Tributes flow for Queensland race car driver Dennis Neagle who died in Targa Tasmania crash

Queensland man and race car co-driver Dennis Neagle who died in a crash at Targa Tasmania on Saturday has been remembered as a gentleman of the sport who was a passionate competitor and “truly great bloke”.

Mr Neagle, 59, was one of three competitors who died during the 2,000km rally while competing in a 2019 Porsche 911.

The crash occurred at about 11:40am on Saturday near Cygnet in Southern Tasmania.

He was riding with Tasmanian man Leigh Mundy, who was driving their car when it hit gravel and struck a tree, killing them both.
