Travellers in Queensland hotel quarantine not tested for COVID-19 – Brisbane Times
Queensland Health says testing for COVID-19 is part of its hotel quarantine program but some of those quarantined say they weren’t tested even when they asked to be.
They arrived in Brisbane on June 19 after travelling from London and went straight into hotel quarantine for the mandatory two weeks.
They were allocated a room at the Westin hotel in Brisbanes CBD and while there, Mr Lam said he became increasingly uncomfortable with the arrangements.
“We werent tested once. We did get phone calls asking if we had any symptoms but I think that puts a lot of onus on people who dont want to be locked up,” he said.
