Transfer Centre: South Sydney’s sensational backflip as they re-sign Alex Johnston – Fox Sports
South Sydney have done a sensational backflip on star winger Alex Johnston and have re-signed him on a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old local junior had accepted his time with the Rabbitohs was over after being told he wouldnt be offered a new deal as the club only had the cap space for minimum contracts.
But Rabbitohs have since been able to make changes and offered Johnston a new deal on Tuesday that will keep him at the club until the end of 2022.
The Bulldogs, Cowboys, Storm and Manly were all interested in the try-scoring machine with Melbourne tabling a decent offer to him, said to be worth $100,000 more …
