Tragic storyline is close to home for Neeson and son – Sydney Morning Herald
Liam Neeson’s latest movie has some emotional connections to the actor’s own past.

The script was the work of James DArcy, a British actor and first-time filmmaker who lost his father at a similar age; he had originally conceived the sons part for himself. Robert, the father, is a famous painter, ostensibly living an artists life of drink and debauchery but no longer producing art. His son Jack has built a thriving gallery financed by his in-laws, but is about to lose it; his wife is divorcing him and taking her parents patronage with her.
Jack does, however, see a solution. …
