The boss of Britains space industry trade body has called on the Government to launch a £150m innovation fund in the wake of the UK’s £400m deal to buy bankrupt satellite maker OneWeb.
Nick Shave, chair of UKspace, said fresh funding was needed for the industry to put us on a balanced footing with our peer nations. Mr Shave also called for a reform of the UK Space Agency, which is part of the Business Department, to provide it with greater powers.
