The Toyota GR Yaris has sold the first allocation of 1100 cars and executives in Australia are now scrambling to secure a new round of production in the second half of next year.
When Toyota Australia announced a promotional price of $39,950 drive-away for the first 1000 cars, it expected stock would carry the brand for a year. Instead, the first 1000 cars sold out in one week.
Toyota then allocated a further 100 vehicles at $44,950 drive-away, however they took less than a month to clear.
