Tourism operators hope for $350m Easter egg

With Sydneysiders once again free to visit Queensland from Monday, the state’s battered tourism industry is shaping up for a golden egg this Easter with operators reporting a solid surge in bookings heading into the April holiday period.Travel giant Wotif.com reported a 95 per cent spike in booking interest for Queensland holidays in just three hours after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s announcement on Thursday to restore travel with Greater Sydney.
