Top law firm’s invoices exposed to ANZ which employees were cooperating with ASIC investigation – ABC News
Bank workers believed their meetings with ASIC were secret, but information was being passed on to ANZ in their lawyers’ invoices.

During a 2014 investigation into alleged market manipulation, a group of employees at ANZ believed they were secretly giving information to the corporate regulator.
What they did not know is that their lawyers were revealing how much time and contact they had with ASIC to their employer in invoices.
The invoices gave the bank an insight into how much and how often they were talking to ASIC.
Documents filed in the NSW Supreme Court show law firm HWL Ebsworth identified to ANZ who among its employees…
