Top: Bribie Hotel 1939. Photographer unknown, picture from ‘The Bribie Islander’ website.
Below: Now called the Blue Pacific Hotel, AKA Bluey’s, not because of the Pub’s name but because Bluey has been Publican there since 1965.
Built in 1939, the Pub became Australian and USA army officers quarters during WW2 and the licence was granted back in 1941. You can still see the old Gun Bunkers around the island.
