So we saw a real need there for evidence-based guidance, training and support and thats what weve sought to address in developing the Play Active program.
She said young children needed more short bursts of “huff and puff” exercise. They were usually getting lots of lighter intensity play-based activity but activities such as chasing each other, riding bikes on the path, playing games where they raced to put toys away and catching and throwing were needed.
