Tomorrow is International Volunteer Day and our #OnTheFrontline this week is dedicated to our wonderful First Responder volunteer of 13 years, Val.

Based near Killarney in the Darling Downs, Val is 70 years young and in her words, “I’ve got years left in me doing this job – i’ll be leaving here kicking and screaming, I just love being a first responder.” That passion, along with her community-minded spirit is what gets her by every day.
