Tommy Raudonikis to be honoured at SCG memorial service – Sydney Morning Herald
Rugby league great Tommy Raudonikis will be remembered at a memorial service at the SCG on Monday after his death last week.
Hopefully the speakers that weve requested to speak will certainly be very colourful, to say the least. He was a great Australian character.
Mr Vlandys previously told the radio station he supported the idea of a state funeral, whether in NSW or Queensland.
If anyone deserves a state funeral, its Tommy because hes the common man, hes the man of the people, he said. I think these state funerals, sometimes, are for the higher end of the demographic. I think its about time someone like Tommy was honoured…
