The controversial Australian and unfulfilled talent sank to a new low, this time beaten by a 16-year-old in the first round of qualifiers.
Local wildcard Arthur Fils fought back from a set down to defeat the embattled Tomic 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 on a rain-interrupted day at Roland Garros.
