Tom Scully calls time on career
Tom Scully has retired from football effective immediately at the age of 29.
Scully, the No.1 draft pick of 2009, informed his Hawthorn teammates of the decision on Tuesday morning.
Scully had taken leave for personal reasons just over a week ago but has now ended his time in the AFL. His decision was confirmed in a Hawthorn statement.
“This has been an incredibly difficult decision for me to make as football has been such a big part of my life,” Scully said.
