‘Told by everyone I was going to die’: Cult hero FIRES UP and vows to ‘go again’ against Papalii – Fox Sports
The odds were well and truly stacked against former NRL cult hero Ben Hannant in Townsville on Friday night, but the “polar bear” certainly won plenty of fans.
The former Kangaroos and Queensland representative forward put his hand up to take on the much fancied Papalii at the All Stars Fight Night.
Everyone assume the Raiders prop would make light work of his opponent but Hannant put in a great showing, despite the judges ruling it unanimously in Papaliis favour.
Even Papalii admitted the result could have gone the other way.
