To mark the passing of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, the Australian Federation Guard fired a 41 gun salute from the forecourt of Parliament House in Canberra at 5pm.
Six M2A2 45mm Howitzer
Ceremonial Guns from the Australian Defence Force fired 41 rounds, with each round fired at 10 second intervals until all rounds are complete.It took about 7 minutes and followed the tradition set by the United Kingdom.
