The highly-rated former Waratahs assistant won’t be available to replace Rob Penney and try to lead the team out of its crisis.

NSW Rugby boss Paul Doorn says the Waratahs will conduct a worldwide search in coming months to find a replacement for Rob Penney but former assistant Simon Cron wont be available to lead the team out of its crisis.
Cron, who left the Waratahs in 2019 to take up a head coaching job with Toyota Verblitz, had been flagged as a potential successor to Daryl Gibson before poor timing resulted in the Kiwi taking his services elsewhere.
