Timeline details tragedy involving death of elderly cruise passenger on Great Barrier Reef’s Lizard Island

The disappearance of an elderly woman on Lizard Island was not reported to authorities for several hours before she was found dead.

The body of the 81-year-old woman was found on Sunday on Lizard Island, part of the Great Barrier Reef, about 27km off Cooktown in far north Queensland.
