Benji Marshall has just a handful of games left at the club he won a premiership with in 2005 after the Wests Tigers decided they would not have a spot for him in 2021.

Maguire had agreed to reconsider, but by the afternoon the clubs position was made clear in a meeting between Marshalls manager Matt Desira, Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe and head of football Adam Hartigan.
