A Tier 2 barman has begged customers to only go to the pub if they’re actually hungry, as he shared a photo of the ‘appalling’ food waste he’s witnessed.
Under the government’s three-tier system, areas in Tier 2 are able to serve alcoholic drinks with ‘substantial meals’ – although there’s been much confusion over the definition of a substantial meal.
Posting a series of tweets, the barman pointed out that the aim of the ruling is to stop people from getting too drunk and ignoring social distancing.
