The sun shone down on the northern beaches today as residents in the northern zone spent their first day out of COVID-19 lockdown.

For the past three weeks, those living north of the Narrabeen Bridge have been forced to abide by strict stay-at-home orders as health authorities have scrambled to contain a growing coronavirus outbreak.

The Avalon cluster currently stands at 150 cases, and while questions have been raised about whether lifting the lockdown is the right decision, NSW…
