Three residents of a Laois nursing home have died after contracting Covid-19, while a fourth has been hospitalised.
The heartbreaking news emerged from Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home in Portlaoise on Monday morning, after an outbreak of 31 cases was confirmed there last week.
There hasn’t been an increase in the number of positive cases, with a second round of testing conducted on October 8, the results of which were returned two days later and didn’t identify any further infections.
