A Canadian professor of etymology and his colleague, a Taiwanese PhD candidate from our own Australian National University has named newly discovered beetles after three legendary Pokémon; Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. The beetles are named Binburrum articuno, Binburrum moltres and Binburrum zapdos.
