Three dead, two badly injured in horror 36 hours on Queensland roads

In a separate incident, an 18-year-old man died when the four-wheel-drive he was driving veered off Rutherford Road and hit a tree at Kulangoor on the Sunshine Coast about 4.30am on Tuesday.
However, police suspect the white Mitsubishi Outlander was stolen from a property in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast prior to the crash. Investigations continue.
A French tourist was seriously injured on Tuesday when he rolled his car on Stanage Bay Road in Shoalwater, north of Rockhampton, on the central Queensland coast.
The man, aged in his 20s, was pinned between the steering wheel and seat and it took firefighters two hours to cut him free. He suffered lower limb injuries, according to RACQ Capricorn Rescue.
