Three dead after Christmas Eve car crashes in Mount Richmond and Flynn in regional Victoria

Two women have died and a child has been flown to hospital after a head-on crash in south-west Victoria on Christmas Eve, police say.

- A man has also died at the scene in a separate car crash in the Gippsland region, police say
- Two people in the Mount Richmond crash, and one person in the Flynn crash, were flown to hospital
- Police are investigating the circumstances of both crashes
Emergency services were called about 10:25am to a collision between a Jeep Cherokee and a Holden Trax in Mount Richmond, west of Warrnambool.
Victoria Police said the driver and front seat passenger in the Holden died at the scene, on the Portland-Nelson Road.
