Thornlie Skate Park’s Mario Kart design prompts safety fears – PerthNow
A stunning new Mario Kart-inspired paint job at a Perth skate park certainly looks great, but there are fears it could lead to injury.

Thornlie Skate Park has a stunning new design theme, but people are worried the new paint job could lead to kids getting hurt.
The once-grey concrete has been redone in the style of the classic Nintendo game Mario Kart, complete with a track along the ground, banana skins and the classic characters.
A video of the new design was posted to Facebook by City of Gosnells councillor Adam Hort on Thursday.
The video has garnered 113 reactions, and more than 180 comments.
