This year our monitoring team will have measured a whopping 75,000 barramundi since we started biological monitoring in 1999! ???????? The length of fish is our primary measure of size as it can be recorded quickly and accurately. We also estimate fish ages by examining their otoliths (ear bones) under a microscope. This data is used to help monitor, assess and manage fish stocks. ???????? Our monitoring team is once again working with commercial and recreational fishers by collecting data…
