‘This is the day we bring Trent home’: Hundreds join search

As many as 200 boats scoured Moreton Bay waters on Saturday for signs of Trent Riley who is believed to have fallen overboard while fishing on Wednesday afternoon.

Police found his small tinnie driving “uncontrolled” off Mud Island, near the Port of Brisbane, on Wednesday afternoon but there was no one on board.

Mr Riley’s hat was found floating off St Helena Island on Friday, bolstering the family’s hope he would be found alive.
