The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter has rescued a body board rider on the Sunshine Coast after he got caught in a rip current this afternoon.
The male aged in his early 20’s was rescued at an unpatrolled
stretch of beach approximately one kilometre north of Dicky Beach.He was returned to shore and no further assistance was required. This serves as a timely reminder to only enter the water at patrolled beaches.
