UK GDP is on track to return to pre-Covid levels by Christmas, despite some dour headlines
Other forecasts are available. In particular, the IMFs World Economic Outlook Update was published two weeks after the OECDs effort, but received much less coverage here. Perhaps this is because it forecast a significantly smaller fall in GDP in the UK (10.2pc in 2020) than in France (12.5), Italy or Spain (both 12.8).
