Australia will be closely watching the UK today as it begins vaccinating against COVID-19, in what’s been described as Britain’s biggest immunisation programme in history. The vaccine developed by American drug maker Pfizer and Germany’s BioNTech will be administered at 50 hospital hubs in England. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will also begin their vaccination rollouts today. Frontline health staff and those aged over 80 will be the first to get the vaccine.
