OPINION: The Simpsons have endured time shifts, abruptly ending runs and – lately – TVNZ2 have even run the same end credits from episode-to-episode.
OPINION: Having now left Gunsmoke in the dust as the longest-running scripted US TV show of all time, The Simpsons next milestone will be 700 episodes, a mark theyll reach sometime in the current 32nd season (which begins screening on TVNZ2 tonight, Saturday, at 7pm).
Its hard to believe the misadventures of Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa, Maggie and the rest of the residents of Springfield have now been running since the summer that Margaret Urlichs Escaping topped the Kiwi charts and Geoffrey Palmer…
