The halls of Windsor Castle have been decked with Christmas cheer as the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh prepare to spend the festive season away from the rest of the royal family.
But rather than being closed to the public, the castle is hosting a number of special events throughout December.
The Queen’s private quarters, however, remain off limits to prying eyes.
