The Qld region where everyone can get vaccinated for COVID-19
“Our community population sizes are quite small here.
“Consequently, it makes more sense for our immunisation teams to offer the vaccine to all eligible community members and health service staff aged 18 years and over who want it at the one time.”
The spokesperson said it was more efficient than segmenting already population sizes into smaller groups.
“This approach still allows for the vulnerable members of our community, and our front line health workers, to be vaccinated in a timely and efficient manner, whilst seeking to protect the greater central-west community as soon as possible,” they said.
Meanwhile, in Brisbane, the three-day lockdown lifted five hours early on Thursday.
