The ocean has become a raucous cacophony as the noise from human activity has grown louder and more prevalent, according to a study.

Scientists say there is a big increase in the humpback whale population around New York City thanks to cleaner water that has led to an abundance of small fish the whales love to eat. (Oct. 7)
