Captain left ‘disillusioned’ by last ditch bid
A last-minute bid to solve the Adam Reynolds contract stand-off has failed and the Rabbitohs captain goes into tonight’s season opener against Melbourne a disillusioned man.
Both Reynolds and Souths were hoping to put the matter to bed before the season began to ensure their prized halfback had his future secure and would be able to enter the game without the added pressure on his shoulders.
But as late as yesterday, neither side was willing to budge in what has become something of a Mexican stand-off.
