The Jericho Cup truly a race unlike any other – Racenet

Yes Almond Eye (and others) were magnificent in the Japan Cup, Hong Kong racing bristled with high class talent, much of it ex-Australian, but for me there is nothing like The Jericho Cup, run for a third time at a crowdless The Bool on Sunday.
From Ric Mcintosh’s call, to Stumpy (you might never have known him before but you do now) Williams’ post-race interview, the race in itself had what makes Australian racing so unique.
But it’s the “concept”, and that word doesn’t seem right to describe it,…
