When it was announced that James Harden would be heading to the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons was reportedly “ecstatic.”
He was staying right where he wanted.
But for Simmons to be ecstatic meant there was also a part of him that believed he was a genuine chance of being traded and shipped off to Houston, almost five years after being drafted as the number one overall pick.
