The Indigenous name for Enoggera/Breakfast Creek was Yow-oggera or Yu-oggera. However the survey office misspelt the name of the creek on early maps, replacing the ‘u’ with an ‘n’ resulting in Yn-oggera, pronounced Enoggera, from which the suburb gets its name.
