Huawei launched E variants of its Mate 30 series in China – in late 2020, in fact. Given the year the OEM has had, it may have gotten a pass for not doing the same with the Mate 40. However, it seems this flagship will get such a version as well.
A phone by this exact name has been approved to use 5 watt (W) wireless charging by a relevant interest group. This new leak also confirms that the Mate 40E’s model number is OCE-AN00, whereas that of the Mate 30 Pro is LIO-AN00m.
