The 22-year-old midfielder, who made 60 A-League appearances for Perth without scoring, did so twice in the final five minutes for Victory on Tuesday to break Glory hearts.
After sealing the 2-1 result from the penalty spot, Brimmer ran towards AAMI Park’s eastern grandstand and put an index finger in each of his ears as he faced the crowd.
The inspiration behind the demonstrative celebration, he has since revealed, was personal.
