The head of an illegal tobacco operation has been sentenced to three years’ jail – no butts about it.
The 48-year-old Victorian woman was originally arrested in 2019 after Australian Border Force (ABF) officers from the Illicit Tobacco Taskforce (ITTF), with the assistance of @VictoriaPolice, executed warrants at a number of premises.
The ITTF is focused on targeting, disrupting and dismantling criminal syndicates who trade in illicit tobacco.
