A statement on Thursday confirmed that the leagues and Football Australia had agreed to unbundle the A-League, W-League and Y-League. The three competitions will now be run by the newly-formed Australian Professional Leagues (APL), with the model to be implemented throughout the course of the 2020-21 seasons.
The move will hand Australias top professional clubs the operational and commercial independence theyve been craving for years.
