Wednesday’s announcement of a “golden try” rule is a step in the right direction, but there’s more to be done.

Both those initiatives will help, but are not enough. Yes, in recent years there have been some wonderful matches, including the thriller to beat them all last year against the All Blacks that saw the ball go from one side of the field to the other and back again several times for EIGHT MINUTES after full time but if you put dull matches on the other end of the seesaw they easily outweigh the beauties.
So tweak the rules? By all means …
