OnePlus is on all fours hyping the release of the Nord. For fans of OnePlus, this is beyond a regular announcement. For them, it’s the debut of a new era.
And OnePlus can all hear this anticipation.
So much so that the OnePlus Nord’s full specs sheet has now been leaked. Could OnePlus be behind this not-so-mysterious leak? We can only surmise for now.
Evan Blass is at it again
The latest development, that is the leak of the phone’s full specifications, is made possible by notorious tipster Evan Blass. In his Twitter account, Blass posted what appears to be an image of a virtual Nord training presentation, which ultimately revealed all the features you must know on OnePlus’ first mid-range smartphone offering.
Accordingly, the OnePlus Nord is set to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G. This corroborates previous speculations about the device’s chipset.
Of course, the newest leak also has some new details in its fold. At the helm is the revelation that the phone will launch with 8GB/12GB of RAM and two storage options – 128GB and 256GB. Additionally, the phone’s battery is listed with a 4,115mAh capacity. Support for Warp Charging 30T is also included.
6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate, rear quad cams
The handset’s display offerings are likewise a highlight. As per the leak, the phone will launch with a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED screen, with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The phone’s screen is also revealed feature 408ppi and 20:9 aspect ratio.
The screen is also slated to feature an in-display fingerprint reader.
While the previous leaks indicated that the OnePlus Nord would arrive with a 48MP main + 8MP ultrawide + 5MP macro + 2MP depth combination, the newest sheet tells a slightly different story. It reveals that the 5MP unit will be configured as a depth sensor, while the 2MP will be assigned as a macro lens.
The Nord’s front-facing camera setup is also outed. It will feature dual cameras, headlined by a massive 32MP, and accompanied by an 8MP module.
Other key features that were revealed are NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 2×2 MIMO onboard. The phone will ship with Oxygen OS 10, based on the latest Android 10. It will retail in three color options – Blue Marble, Gray Onyx, and Gray Ash.
The OnePlus Nord is set to debut globally on July 21. OnePlus is also tipped to launch its first TWS earbuds, the OnePlus Buds.
