The surge of optimism surrounding Daniel Ricciardo’s chances at this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix is likely to leave the Australian with mixed feelings as he looks ahead to a move to McLaren in 2021.
Ricciardo finished fourth in Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix, leading home his teammate Esteban Ocon in fifth, in arguably Renault’s strongest performance since they returned to the sport in 2016.
