The move by the Dr Seuss estate to cancel six of the author’s books was greeted in bookselling circles with some surprise, disappointment and relief.
While she said that the portrayal of a Chinese man in Mulberry Street was deeply offensive she didnt think if Geisel was alive today he would nail his colours to the mast of those titles.
